What is the difference between in-store marketing and digital marketing?

Digital marketing, often known as online marketing, is the promotion of companies to engage with potential customers using the internet and other kinds of digital communication. This includes email, social media, and web-based advertising, among other things. In-store marketing refers to marketing methods that target customers while they are in a real shop or brick-and-mortar firm. In-store marketing with Intouch.com focuses on engaging and converting consumers in the last 20 yards, increasing customer loyalty to the promoted brand, and improving the shopping experience by promoting the right product to the right customer at the right moment utilising AI and IoT.

How does Intouch.com's solution work?

Intouch.com is a two-sided media network in which physical retailers use Intouch Live to enroll their in-store screens, and advertisers (FMCGs and Brands) use Intouch Ads to buy ad-slots on these same screens. It is like Google Adsense and Google Ads, or Facebook Ads, but in the physical in-store world.

What is the inspiration behind Intouch.com's solution?

Intouch.com started from a point where we were very keen to protect humans’ social interaction in the physical world. We came to the vision to make experiences in the physical world smarter and more engaging than the digital one through mastering the science of decreasing cognitive stress by eliminating as many friction points as possible in the shopping experience. This was done through personalizing the offline experience. The lower the stress, the higher the conversion and satisfaction, thus, the higher the revenue generated. And that is how we arrived to the point of harnessing the power of data— which is our mission and statement at Intouch.com— to deliver unique experiences that are also profitable for shop owners and brands. From here, the inspiration of our solution came. We aim for increasing retailers’ store sales, unlocking new revenue streams from advertising, and increasing operation efficiency, so that brands can continue to convert more people where it matters the most…at the store.

How can retailers benefit from our solution ?

Intouch Live drives value for our retail partners in three ways:
1) Drives incremental sales of the products that are promoted on the screens. The AI-powered solution influences shoppers and encourages them to purchase products they otherwise would not have purchased if they had they not seen the advert.
2) Generates new advertising revenue. Brands are moving their budgets from online channels to the digital in-store channel creating a net new revenue stream for the retailer.
3) Deliver fresh insights and analytics. Measure the performance of the campaigns and understand the true impact of promotions displayed on the screens. Utilise actionable insights from previous campaigns to improve future performance and generate more revenue.

How can FMCGs benefit from our solution?

Intouch Ads enables brands to increase sales of their products by dynamically displaying the right advert, to the right customer, at the right time inside the physical retail store. Using our AI-powered platform, the brands are able to influence shoppers at the critical moment of truth - the last 20 yards inside the store.

What hardware is needed to deploy our solution?

Our software relies on Chromeboxes which run ChromeOS as standard. We use USB cameras for demographic detection, and can integrate with any screen brand - and we predominately use portrait orientation as this is most suited to Digital Signage solution. The dimensions used are 1920 x 1080.

How do we collect the sales data?

We work closely with retailers to acquire sales' data related to the products advertised.

How do you accept payment?

We don't have any automated way for payments so far. So, retailers pay offline (a step by step guide is shared with our clients once we reach this phase). In the future, payments could be done securely through Intouch Ads portal.

Will you provide a self-served platform where I can see the performance of the campaigns?

Yes, retailers and advertisers have dedicated portals to manage their campaigns, monitor and produce reports.

What is the cost of using your services or creating my first in-store campaign?

The adverts are sold on a CPM basis (CPM stands for cost per mille and is a marketing term used to denote the price of 1,000 advertisement impressions). Therefore, depending on how many stores the advertiser wishes to target and for how long, they can create a campaign in line with their budget. The higher the budget, the greater the number of times their product will be advertised and, in turn, the more sales will be generated.

Can I see the performance in real-time?

Yes, the performance is updated every hour.

Have you undergone an audit and been certified technically safe and competent?

Yes. We got audited by Itunion.de. We have undergone penetration testing audits and network vulnerability audits.

What are the main marketing definitions needed before using our solution?

Impressions: are the number of times your content is displayed on the in-store screens.
CPM: Cost per 1000 impressions represents the amount advertisers pay to publishers/retailers for every thousand impressions or views their ad generates.
CPS: Cost Per Sale is the amount an advertiser pays for each sale generated by an advertisement.
ROI: Return On Investment is the profit and revenue growth retailers and brands can receive through the in-store ads presented on the screens.
ROAS: Return On Ad Spend measures the amount of revenue your business earns for each dollar it spends on the ad.
